An Introduction to the Asterisk Open Source PBX
It has been over a year since Lenny's & Brian's presentation that
introduced us to the wonderful world of VoIP (Voice over IP)
and IP Telephony. Thanks to their introduction, Gil Kloepfer at
UT Applied Research Labs has been investigating and testing VoIP phones
and the Asterisk Open Source PBX as a potiential replacement for their
aging telephone switch. In his presentation Gil will be introducing
Asterisk and how to get started with your own PBX. He will also
discuss some of the challenges associated with deploying VoIP
and Asterisk in an enterprise environment.
