April 15th CACTUS Meeting

March Meeting Report

by Darrel Long
Nineteen people were present, including six officers.  Jim Partridge, our scheduled speaker, called in sick. Jim Partridge would like to reschedule except that he has UDI user group meetings on the third Thursday through May or June.  If anyone would like more information on the Uniform Driver Intrerface they might try  Also, anybody wanting to Beta test VMware can go to and download a copy. We had two different people offering a wide range in different levels of Unix jobs.  But, we should always keep in mind that we have several sponsors listed below under sponsors that also have job positions if anyone is looking. Besides bringing up the
point that the Microsoft Windows will only stay up 46.1 days before crashing, we briefly discussed the major topics presented at the officers meeting.
